Made to accompany the Silver Acorn Tarot, these colorful embroidered Tarot bags are perfect for storing your decks safely and beautifully when not in use. Each bag features an original design and has been made from a velvety fabric with silky lining and drawstring closure.
The Cimaruta is one of my most favorite protective amulets and I just had to create a Tarot bag with my take on it. With its roots in Southern Italy, you’ll find this beautiful amulet most commonly worn as a silver necklace to protect its wearer against Il Malocchio. The basic design depicts a sprig of rue always splitting off into three sections (symbolic of Diana Triformis) and is commonly shown with various charms at the tips of her tiny branches. There are several variations and takes on the beautiful Cimaruta—and after much drawing and thought, I decided to keep it simple and include five apotropaic symbols: the dagger, key, moon, snake and flower. This particular bag has a light tan exterior color with a silky purple lining and a vibrant seven color embroidered design in silvery greens (I tried to get as close as possible to the beautiful color of rue!), light purple, light blue and silver.
Measurements:
Top opening 5” wide
8” wide X 8” tall
