Juniper Giclée Print

$65.00

Part of a three piece print set, “Juniper” was originally hand painted with gouache paint on arches watercolor paper. These three pieces (or three sisters, as I like to call them) were painted as a set towards the end of summer/2020, inspired by plant lore and various forms of folk art, two subjects I’ve taken a bit of a deep dive into these months while in quarantine this year. I found these pieces to be a bit of a personal exploration into more of a decorative approach to painting, a little less planned and a bit more organic, incorporating some techniques I use for pattern making.

One of three sister cats, Juniper has been painted in orange, black, purples/blues/blue greens and light mint, surrounded by bright blooms, berries, twisted branches, squirrels, apples and mushrooms. She holds a bundle of freshly harvested plants on her right with a walking stick on her left. Her apron depicts a decorative design of a tree surrounded by bright leaves and plants. I feel like Juniper can handle anything thrown at her, she’s well protected, strong, wise and can handle anything that crosses her path while on her journey (and she knows it!).

My Juniper has been beautifully reproduced from my original painting and offered here as a new giclée print. All prints offered in my shop are high quality, printed on heavy, museum quality 100% cotton rag acid free watercolor paper (Arches brand/310g) , using 100+ year archival pigments.
